What is LEO?
The Career Center has a long-established service of maintaining and sending out letters of recommendation for students, alumni and postdocs who are applying to graduate/professional school programs or who are applying for academic employment. "LEO" is the acronym for our "Letters of Evaluation Online" service which allows you to access your online account 24/7.
Benefits of Opening a LEO Account
When you open a LEO account your letter-writers only need to write one generic letter - thus saving them time and you energy in managing your letters directly.
Although most graduate/professional schools give instructions as though each applicant will be self-managing their letters, they are familiar with letter file services such as LEO. Our experience has been that you do not need to send school-specific recommendation forms when you are having your letters sent from a file service such as LEO.
Other benefits include being able to collect and store letters until you are ready to begin your application process and, as most schools still prefer to receive confidential letters, the file makes it easy to ensure confidentiality.

| Setup a new LEO account | $40 |
